Dr. Leonard Miller was among the first in the Boston area to provide noninvasive facial rejuvenation with PDO threads. Using special absorbable threads placed under the skin, he can enhance structure and lift tissues. Over time, the body naturally produces collagen, replacing lost tissue volume for long-lasting results. With PDO thread lift, Boston Center for Plastic Surgery offers remarkable facelift and neck lift results without surgery, minimal downtime, and few side effects.

PDO threads are small, absorbable sutures placed beneath the skin using a fine needle. This non-surgical technique provides immediate results for a noninvasive facelift or neck lift. Over four to six weeks, as the body heals and produces collagen, the area is lifted and smoothed for long-lasting results.
Each PDO thread lift procedure at Boston Center for Plastic Surgery takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the area treated and the technique used.
PDO threads can be used on most areas of the face and body, but they provide exceptional results in the lower third of the face and the neck. They are often used to improve the appearance of eyebrows, sagging cheeks, Smoker's Lines, Marionette Lines, and sagging jowls.
PDO threads are best for individuals with mild to moderate sagging tissue, ptosis, or crepey skin on the face and neck. They are not recommended for patients allergic to lidocaine or epinephrine or those with active infections, colds, or rashes.
Patients can see immediate results in lifted tissues and tighter skin after their PDO threads session. As collagen increases and the natural healing process occurs, results continue to improve. A repeat session is typically not necessary for 9 to 12 months.
