The neck is one of the hardest working areas in your body. Functionally, it not only supports the considerable weight of your head, but your neck is what allows it to move in all directions. Aesthetically, a long, lifted neck is perceived by the human eye as being more youthful, elegant, and slender looking. Furthermore, your neck works in harmony with your chin, so improving the appearance of the neck can help create a crisp, defined jawline and alleviate a double chin. In short, it is a procedure that delivers multiple benefits. Figuring out how much a deep plane neck lift will cost, however, must always begin with an in-person consultation.
Cost of Deep Plane Neck Lift in Boston
Every patient is unique. While some may be a candidate for a stand-alone neck lift, others may require a combination of procedures in order to deliver on their goals. Finding the right treatment for you is always going to come down to your individual anatomy, desired outcome, and tolerance for downtime. For patients who require a more robust rejuvenation, I will combine a deep plane neck lift with a deep plane facelift. For those with more moderate needs, I may add a:
- Chin implant
- Buccal fat reduction
All of these choices will affect the overall cost of your deep plane neck lift. In general, the surgeon’s fee for this procedure is $15,000. Any additional procedure is going to have an added cost — typically $6,000 to $10,000 for a chin implant with buccal fat removal. And then there is anesthesia to consider.
Anesthesia Choice Will Affect Deep Plane Neck Lift Cost
My first priority with any aesthetic procedure is to create a treatment plan that can safely deliver your ideal outcome. So, while there are two anesthesia options for a deep plane neck lift:
- IV sedation
- General anesthesia
The appropriate choice is going to depend on your BMI and the heaviness of your neck. Having a deep plane neck lift under IV sedation is going to cost less. I perform this in the office, and, generally, the recovery may not be as intense. This is a factor that patients don’t always consider when they are thinking about cost. However, if you are heavier or have more fat in your neck, general anesthesia is going to be the safest option. All of this will be discussed in detail during your initial consultation when I can give you a more accurate idea of the overall cost after examining you in person.
