Body contouring is one of my areas of expertise. I love helping my Boston area patients to feel more comfortable in their skin. Most patients prefer the idea of a non-surgical body contouring solution. I understand. Time is precious. Being able to have a procedure on your lunch break that does not involve incisions and a lengthy recovery is appealing, particularly for men who often have less tolerance for downtime than women. SculpSure® is my non-surgical fat reduction procedure of choice. Answering the question: “Does SculpSure® Work?”, however, is always going to depend on whether or not it is the right procedure for your individual anatomy and needs.
Are You a Candidate for SculpSure®?
Figuring out whether or not you are a candidate for SculpSure® ideally begins with an in-person consultation. During our meeting, a member of my staff or I will listen closely to what bothers you about your appearance. We will inquire about your medical history, family history, and any prior procedures, including injectables, as well as how your body recovered. The point of this is to establish your body’s unique baseline of healing. Next, we will conduct an in-depth physical exam to assess your:
- Skin tone & texture
- Amount of excess fat
- Is this fat “pinchable”?
The best candidate for SculpSure® is any man or woman who is bothered by areas of unwanted fat and who is in:
- Good overall health
- Within 10 lbs. of a maintainable goal weight • Without a lot of loose skin
- Has realistic expectations
Generally, it will take 2-3 treatments, spaced about 6-8 weeks apart, to achieve your final result so this is a body contouring solution that requires patience. Also, no non-surgical option is going to give me the same ability to re-sculpt your contour as a surgical procedure. I always spend time going through exactly what you can expect in terms of your SculpSure® results as this is truly one of the keys to the happy outcome that we both want.
