For many, a time may come when a glance in the mirror becomes disconcerting due to the discrepancy between your outside reflection and how youthful you feel on the inside. A facelift can be a great way to restore alignment. This surgical procedure is the gold standard for addressing loose skin and sagging tissues in the lower half of the face. However, there may be other contributing factors to your facial dissatisfaction, such as crow’s feet or neck wrinkles. At Boston Center for Plastic Surgery (BCFPS), we have always prided ourselves on creating individualized treatment plans that work with your unique anatomy. Our goal is to deliver the natural, long-lasting result that will make you look and feel more vital. Here are some of the best procedures to pair with a facelift.
Neck Rejuvenation in Boston
In my opinion, the neck and the face work in tandem. Since I rarely address one without considering the other, I will often combine a facelift with a neck lift. The incision is the same for both, and this 1-2 punch allows me to deliver a truly rejuvenating result. In some cases, however, a patient may not be ready or want a surgical neck lift. At BCFPS, we lead the field in non-surgical/minimally invasive neck rejuvenation. The key to a great result, however, is matching the right procedure or procedures to your anatomy and desired outcome. Depending on your needs, other procedures to address aging in the neck may include:
- Neck liposuction with Renuvion® for skin tightening
- ProfoundRF®
- Fat injections
- Botox®
Eyelid Surgery
The eyes are often called the “windows to the soul” for a reason. They are the main vehicle through which we express our emotions and, as such, are one of our most identifying features. They’re also one of the first areas to show the signs of aging, as the skin around the eyes is delicate and all of those emotions can take a toll. While crow’s feet can easily be addressed with Botox® and bags under the eyes may be improved with fat injections, hanging, loose skin in the upper and/or lower lid is going to need to be excised surgically with a blepharoplasty. During your initial consultation, we will discuss exactly what combination of procedures will best deliver your desired facial rejuvenation. Our team takes pride in always being upfront about the full scope of your treatment plan so that there are no surprises down the road.
