Dr. Sanan was pragmatic, clear, thorough and expert in my interactions. In the pre-operative consultation he thoroughly examined the area to be treated, made a good assessment of what needed to be done, explained the process, showed me examples. The operation lasted 2-3 hours and required many stitches. The process was comfortable for me, I experienced little discomfort / pain. At one point I started to feel some pain and he gave another shot of anaesthetic which took the pain away. During the operation I felt that he really knew what he was doing. Once I saw in the mirror what he had done I was more impressed as the stitches were small and neat. The recovery process was exactly as he had explained it would be. I followed his instructions, the swelling went down, the area healed completely and there are now no scars or other evidence of the operation.

Dr. Sanan changed my whole life in a single surgery. For years, I had been plagued with nasal, throat, ear and sleep issues. All of these issues were dismissed as a mild form of sleep apnea. In one visit, Dr. Sanan listened you my concerns and health issues only to then determine that I was suffering from a severe deviated septum. My surgery was scheduled immediately. Dr. Sanan is a fantastic doctor whom I trust immensely - which is important when it is your face! I had never tried any sort of botox or fillers. Dr. Sanan totally understood my hesitations and eased my nerves. He's super smart, easy to talk to, and isn't trying to convince you to do anything you're uncomfortable with. I think when you're new to all of this, are doing it voluntarily, and paying out of pocket you're skeptical if it is necessary, if the doctor will do too much, and if you'll come out looking unnatural -- Dr. Sanan understands all of this and objectively will advise what you can do to enhance what you already have. If I’m being honest, the whole process behind my Septoplasty was a little nerve racking. Having never had surgery, I didn’t know what to expect. Dr. Sanan made the whole process simple. He didn’t overcomplicate anything. Looking back at the whole process, I’m so grateful I had Dr.Sanan as my ENT. He was straightforward and did amazing work. The recovery process takes a while, and it’s a two way street. Follow Dr. Sanans instructions to a tee and you’ll come out of recovery feeling great and so glad you followed through with the procedure.

Dr. Sanan conducted a cosmetic rhinoplasty on me a few months ago and I am absolutely in love with my results! If I could rate him more than 5 stars I would. He removed the hump on my nose and fixed my deviated septum which resulted in a more softened and natural appearance along with improved breathing. 6 weeks after my rhinoplasty, I unfortunately broke my nose causing it to shift and become crooked. He was able to take me in for an urgent surgery and my nose was back to looking like my initial results! He was extremely helpful and attentive throughout the entire process and was always available to answer my questions. We are so grateful to Dr. Sanan for giving our daughter a new life. A life where she can actually smell and breathe through her nose! Since we can remember, she had to sit up while sleeping and push her nostril to one side to get sufficient airflow. And when she got sick with a stuffy nose, sleep was just about nonexistent.
We were ecstatic when we met with Dr. Sanan and found out life didn't have to be this way for her. He performed a septorhinoplasty on her at the ripe age of 18. She is still in disbelief that this is the way she should have been breathing her entire life. And the confidence she has gained from the subtle adjustment to the bridge of her nose is priceless. I mention her age because this process was scary for her and us, but Dr. Sanan answered all of our questions during the consultation and even a few leading up to the surgery. First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude for Dr. Akshay Sanan. Three months ago I underwent a septorhinoplasty procedure that completely changed my life. For more than half of my life I have been dealing with difficulty breathing due to deviated septum. My breathing issues were becoming unbearable. I was also suffering from multiple sinus infections and sleep apnea symptoms at night. Additionally, I had a dorsal hump that bothered me a great deal. After my first initial consultation I was confident that Dr. Sanan was the perfect surgeon for me. He was extremely professional and took his time in answering all of my questions and concerns. Furthermore, during my pre-operative consultation he made sure to walk me through the procedure and what to expect post-op and what was expected from me as a patient.
My procedure went well and I was not surprised about the healing process as it had all been explained in great detail. Dr. Sanan was excellent in returning emails and phone calls. He continues to deliver the same professional attentiveness throughout my post-operative visits. I can proudly say that I recommend Dr. Sanan to anyone that may be going through any ENT issues. I can finally breathe, sleep and enjoy looking at the appearance of my nose. I could have never wished for a straighter and functional septum!

I had to have my deviated septum repaired back in January. I had been nervous about the procedure for years, but Dr. Sanan put my worries to rest. He explained the procedure, risks, and benefits and asked if my anxiety was lessened; it was!
Dr. Sanan was extremely helpful and friendly. Other reviewers claim he has a cold bedside manner, but I can say this is the opposite of my experience with him.
Regarding the surgery, it went great and my sleep and exercise have improved tremendously.
I would see him again for future surgeries and I recommend him to others.

Dr. Sanan repaired my deviated septum and I had a very good experience. He gave a detailed description of what to expect before and after surgery, thorough instructions about post-surgery care so I got the best result, and multiple post op visits to make sure that everything was healing correctly. My septum is now straight as an arrow and I can breath, sleep, and exercise much more comfortably. Would definitely recommend!

I recently had surgery to correct my deviated septum with Dr. Sanan and he was amazing! During my pre-operative consultation he thoroughly answered all my questions and explained step by step what I was to expect. Although I was initially nervous for my surgery, after a conversation with Dr. Sanan I felt more comfortable and at ease. My surgery went well and I experienced no pain which was great. After the stitches and splints were removed during post-operative care, I was shocked at how drastically my breathing had improved. Dr Sanan did an excellent nose reconstruction for me after I had Mohs surgery to remove some skin cancer. This was my first time having any kind of procedure done on my face so I was a bit nervous. Fortunately Dr Sanan was friendly and easy to talk to and put me at ease right away. He was confident he could fairly closely put my nose back to how it looked before the Mohs and I’m happy to say he was right! The reconstruction took about 3 hours and I was awake the whole time chatting with him. I never felt anxious or concerned at any point as he kept me updated throughout the procedure. He did play lots of Coldplay though which I found questionable, haha. The surgery was painless and the aftercare was straightforward. Truly appreciate how relaxed and personable Dr Sanan was and how he was calmly confident but not cocky. He has an excellent “bedside manner” is polite and professional and made a fairly anxious experience a positive one for me. I think my nose looks great. Very happy. If I ever need any more reconstructive or cosmetic work done I’m going back to Dr Sanan for sure.
